Junior Web Designer

You must be able to tackle multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrate excellent design skills and a natural aptitude for multi-tasking and you’ll make a name for yourself in a company that rewards talent and effort – and encourages personal development.

You should be passionate about web design, HTML/CSS coding and have hands on experience in designing websites.

Responsibilitities
The role will vary depending on business needs, but responsibilities will include:

• First line support for hosting issues for SME clients
• Liaise directly with clients
• Produce brochure and CMS-based websites from concept through to launch
• Existing client website maintenance

Attributes & primary skills required

• You must be able to present yourself professionally  and liaise directly with clients
• Web/Mail server setup/configuration
• You have the ability to hand code CSS and XHTML compliant with W3C standards, having a good knowledge of cross browser issues, common fixes and modular, scalable methods.
• A proven working knowledge of Photoshop (inc. image optimisation) & Dreamweaver.
• You must have relevant experience in web design, preferably in an e-commerce company.
• You must be aware of key search engine optimisation factors and how to design and produce sites with this in mind.
• Practical Javascript skills preferable but not essential. You must at least have exposure and experience in using jQuery or Prototype.
• Apple Mac experience preferred but not essential
